As tea has evolved into an indispensable drink in modern daily life, the development of a vigorous tea culture has allowed tea packaging to become modern in both style and design. However, this has caused the issue of over-packaging in tea products, as the packaging design of tea has become more and more complicated, many packaging wastes have also produced. Nowadays, people has paid more attention on the environment. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to use experimental paper pulp molding as a tea gift box material to solve the problem of packaging waste, which it usually needs to take a long time to decompose, furthermore reuse the tea residue and improve agriculture. With the research process and results, this project could provide the industry and designers to refer to the design of the tea gift box. In this project, the mold molding and ductility were tested on the paper portion of the tea residue, and the mold portion of the tea residue pulp was tested for pulp formation stability, thickness stability, and color after drying. The creation results in three different sets of tea residue works, which are made of oolong tea, black tea and green tea, and are created in the tea theme through the taste and smell of tea. The results are used to provide a reference for the design industry and the designer in the future, with the consideration of paper pulp as a high texture and friendly environment packaging material.
